Antidotes for the Times
These are some of the remedies I often bring into the spaces and systems I work with:
Weaving relational safety and grounded calm into cultures of urgency
Supporting clarity, meaning-making, and forward movement through times of change
Cultivating spaces where vulnerability, collaboration, and leadership discovery can unfold
Others often name my steady, intuitive presence as a source of trust, adaptability, and possibility during transitions
Root System
Some of the experiences, places, and practices that have nourished and shaped my approach to leadership and learning:
10+ years in nonprofit leadership, including Director of Housing at Calgary John Howard Society
Founder of Invoke Coaching, specializing in leadership and team development
Contract faculty member in Child Studies at Mount Royal University
Co-creator of Hawthorn Eco Retreat in Unama'ki (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)
Practices permaculture and explores living systems thinking as models for leadership, organizational health, and learning
Lived experiences as a queer person, neurodivergent and with mental health, shape my approach to leadership, learning, and collective care.
Rooted connection to land — shaped by time on Mi'kmaq Territory (Nova Scotia) and Treaty 7 Territories (Calgary), grounding leadership in the rhythms of ocean, river, and community.

I'm forever building playlists from the music shared by the teams and students I work with.
I believe in win-win-win situations, unless you catch me playing a board game or card game, one of my favourites being Dutch Blitz.
