Antidotes for the Times

These are some of the remedies I often bring into the spaces and systems I work with:

  • Weaving relational safety and grounded calm into cultures of urgency

  • Supporting clarity, meaning-making, and forward movement through times of change

  • Cultivating spaces where vulnerability, collaboration, and leadership discovery can unfold

  • Others often name my steady, intuitive presence as a source of trust, adaptability, and possibility during transitions

Root System

Some of the experiences, places, and practices that have nourished and shaped my approach to leadership and learning:

  • 10+ years in nonprofit leadership, including Director of Housing at Calgary John Howard Society

  • Founder of Invoke Coaching, specializing in leadership and team development

  • Contract faculty member in Child Studies at Mount Royal University

  • Co-creator of Hawthorn Eco Retreat in Unama'ki (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)

  • Practices permaculture and explores living systems thinking as models for leadership, organizational health, and learning

  • Lived experiences as a queer person, neurodivergent and with mental health, shape my approach to leadership, learning, and collective care.

  • Rooted connection to land — shaped by time on Mi'kmaq Territory (Nova Scotia) and Treaty 7 Territories (Calgary), grounding leadership in the rhythms of ocean, river, and community.
